My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Could you call that a cross-cultural experience? If you haven't seen the film yet, then rent it as soon as possible! A few friends and I are watching it as I type this note, and I think it appropriate, or at least a little ironic, that I'm writing my first e-mail update to my supporters during a movie about two different cultures attempting to communicate with each other! (Not the communication between you and me, but like that between Americans and Europeans or Christians and non-Christians!)

I hope you are well! My apologies for not getting these updates started sooner, but now I look forward to regularly letting you know what's going on. I'm excited about how God is working in my life, and I can't wait to share with you what He's doing in me and in Europe!

In coming weeks and months I'll share more about Europe and the ministry I'll help with there. I don't want to overwhelm you with a ton of details right now; I'd rather just reconnect with you quickly and say more later. But I do want to thank you for your support and prayers. This ministry cannot happen without you, and I'm so glad you're beside me in all this. Feel free to contact me by e-mail or phone if you want to catch up or ask any specific questions.

I do have a specific prayer request for next weekend. On Saturday I'll head up to Memphis to participate in a missions conference at First Evangelical Church, and I would appreciate your prayers as I speak with Sunday School classes and meet potential supporters. Until next time!
