Here we are on my birthday having Mexican food. The three folks in the back are friends from DTS on summer mission trips: Kyle, Ashley, and Kari. (Kari's husband, Jason, is hiding out of the picture.) |

Hello my friends!
As of last weekend you can officially ask me what it feels like to turn 30 years old! Yes, I’ve finally moved beyond my third decade and into my fourth. Do I look older and wiser in the picture to the right? Please don’t e-mail me with your responses to that question!
Between the phone calls, cards, and well wishes of friends I felt very loved during my birthday weekend. My GEM family put together a birthday dinner for me at a tasty Mexican restaurant in Dublin, and my church family surprised me with a cake and song on Sunday morning. I ended up having a very memorable birthday weekend!

I went to Killarney National Park with Kyle and Ashley for a few days. In this picture they can't seem to figure out how to pose for the camera in the ruins of Muckross Abbey. |
New Address
I’ve moved again! Please make sure to take note of my new address at the bottom of this update. I didn’t particularly want to move, but my landlord decided to sell the house I lived in. But there’s a good side to this: he moved all of us in the old house to a newer, bigger house he owns in the same estate. I can’t complain too much!
There’s a chance many of you haven’t received some or all of my e-mail updates over the last few months because of computer problems (mostly user errors!), so hopefully you'll get this one fine. I would, however, appreciate your help with updating your address and e-mail info. If you’ve moved, changed your phone number, and/or would like me to change your e-mail address, please e-mail me as soon as you can.
The Next Few Weeks
Do you remember when I told you about how busy my August will be? Well, it’s almost here! I leave this Saturday for a family camp where I’ll work with teens from all over Ireland. (This is the same camp I worked at three years ago.) The week after that I head to Budapest, Hungary, for GEM’s annual conference, and then I may go to Slovakia for a few days following the conference.

Here I am in the Dingle Peninsula in the southern part of Ireland. Beautiful country. |
That’s not counting all the website updates, brochures, and other printed material I get to work on before and after these events. Later this fall I’ll head over to various countries around Europe to work with nationals and GEM missionaries to put together the training materials for each country. GEM Youth Ministry has a lot to do over the next few months, and everything seems to require some kind of graphic design. But I love it!
Prayers
Please pray for the camp and conference as you think of it over the next few weeks. Pray that kids will turn their lives to God and that the leaders will listen as He leads us. And pray that the conference will be a good, uplifting time for the missionaries as they fellowship and worship together.
I would also appreciate your continued prayers about my future. I'm doing very well here in Ireland: I enjoy working with GEM, and I love my church and what I'm doing there, like helping out with worship and volunteering at the bookshop. But I still don't know whether I'm to try and stay here or go somewhere else when my support runs out. I'm not sure what God wants me to do yet, and I would appreciate knowing you're praying with me!
Please continue to pray about supporting me financially in this ministry. Nothing is too big or too small. Click here for a Faith Promise Card and here to learn more about Ireland. Feel free to contact me for more information.
I hope you are well and growing in your knowledge and love of Christ. God bless!
